As the executive director for United Church Homes Management (UCHM), Karen Messick brings more than 25 years of business development and strategic planning to the mission and vision of UCHM. Karen’s insight and experience have led to consistent success in the areas of business marketing, contract management, collaboration and organizational integration.

Her energy translates into creative solutions to varying business issues.

Karen is active with industry associations such as the Health Care Association of Michigan, LeadingAge Michigan and the American Health Care Association, serving on boards and various committees. Karen also has served as a gubernatorial appointee by two Michigan governors, most recently, for the Long-Term Care Supports and Services Commission.

Karen is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Grand Valley State University Masters of Public Administration program specializing in Health Care Administration and has served in various capacities in her career, from licensed Nursing Home Administrator to CEO of post-acute senior communities.
